Logan said yesterday he wants a 125. He likes the motor if the Yamaha and the feel of the ktm.
He likes the electric start and worries he will have a problem starting the Yamaha in a tricky spot. The Yamaha has better suspension from my understanding.
Just open for ideas. I'll need to sell the 85 first.

ktms have more technology and besides a suspension aspect motor is definitely better. However Yamaha suspension is good and motor you can add a pipe and a few other little things and it’d be good to go. Parts for Yamaha are cheaper than ktm. Also retail is more for a Ktm than a Yamaha. I would have to assume a Yamaha is way easier to work on than the efi 2 stroke but I’ve never done it so I wouldn’t know

I suspect there are deals out there on 2024 left overs. Might look at KTM's 125 XC as well as SX. And the Husqvarna's TC125 seat is just a bit lower.

This wouldn't work for you but I just picked up a leftover 2023 Sherco 125 for my wife. At $2900 new, with warranty, I couldn't pass it up - electric start, fuel injected, and not enough power for her to get into trouble. Just for her to ride on the farm.

Don't know anything about these dealers - the 2024 SX125s are listed on Cycle Trader (bargaining leverage perhaps with a more local dealer)

Better then I expected

I just can’t believe 125.

Like…I feel like your kids still on 50s. Time flies
We have a 250. That was the plan for us to share it, now he has rode a 125 a few times and like it also. Instead of getting a second 250 when he goes the big bike I'm looking at 125's.

The Yamaha 125 is a great bike. The KTM has had crank problems and EFI problems since they have come out.

If you get a Yamaha 125, get this kit from Europe. It's a game changer for the bike. Carb parts that ARE NOT AVAILABLE in the US. It is that frekin' good!!!

The GET ignition is also very, very good. I also got a vhm head with a head insert to run on C12. I can win on this bike on a hard pack track against 30 year olds on 450's. And I'm old!

PS I have old bikes and new bikes from a few old 125's to a new 450. My 2024 yz 125 is my favorite bike.
