ALTA Redshift Price Drop.

Man I didn’t realize PR had so many top tier riders that posted.... Hopefully next Time Briar Cliff is open I can watch you guys ride and take notes.

You have an awful high opinion of yourself that I have yet to figure out why. I don't know everything, but I do in fact take metal notes when I see new riding styles and techniques. Many of the accepted techniques in this sport were developed when everyone raced 2 strokes. When Chad Reed commented years ago about Stewart going so fast through the whoops because he could hang on better because he doesn't keep a finger on the clutch I started watching their clutch fingers more closely. There are more guys than you may think racing with Rekluse automatics clutches. I raced a KTM at the AQ at Briarcliff in 15' that had an auto clutch and it's so badass to not have to worry about the clutch and put more mental energy into other things like looking way out in front of you around a long rut or focusing on the brake/throttle transition.

When I raced small bore 2 strokes I used to slip the clutch on the face of jumps because of being afraid of going over the bars when the bike might bog. I still never burnt clutches up.

And I agree, it is a good idea to go to Briarcliff and take notes..... Lots of fast guys on any given day there.

I think we will see many more whisky throttle wrecks with these electric bikes. Can't just pull in the clutch now to stop (slow down) the bike from going faster when you are locked tight on the throttle..

Stop talking logical.

That is the entire point of why pros use a clutch, control. It isnt about making more power or the right rpm range or torque. 4 strokes are plenty powerful and torquey. Its about controlling it. Its far easier to use the clutch in the whoops than the throttle. Its far easier to use a clutch in whiskey throttle situations. Since nobody took the time to read the Bailey article, ill fill you in. He basically says JS7 crashed so much because he didnt keep a finger on the clutch to control the bike's power. Meaning, when he got into trouble he couldnt control the bike with the clutch or shut the rear wheel drive with the clutch.

But its pointless, cant teach people that already know more than the pros do.

True to a Sharc technique here we go.....

Naked, elbows up and finger on the clutch.

Its simple, the clutch controls the engagement of the power to the tire, using the clutch controls it more precisely, easier and quicker than the throttle. But I guess the PR experts know more than the top pros and people training them.

Electric bikes dont need them and Alta clearly has chose to delete it for a reason. Good for them and really for those of us that arent top pros and use them for that extra advantage to win. Some say that was the difference for JS7 not crashing and winning more races. Who knows.

Already threw my hat in the ring. Sounds like its too early to tell about demos, but it will be discussed.

Tell me you mean at your track? If you've got on the list to ride one, you damn quadbilly better be behind me on the list. Lol. I'm a potential buyer. This is gonna turn into our future. In 97 when Henry appeared on a four stroke, who thought they'd take over Moto? Wtf was Yamaha thinking with a 426? Who remembers the Ktm rider who first started riding a 4 stroke? I suppose irrelevant, but I want one.

I've putted around on one, but I do want to ride one geared up. And yes at my track.
